Answers to popular PDR questions

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is a method of removing dents from the body of a motor vehicle without having to repaint the panel. PDR may be used to repair hail damage, door dings, minor creases, and dents.

  • A technician will evaluate the car body.
  • Using specialized tools, the technician will gently massage the metal from the inside of the panel, slowly working the dent out until it is no longer visible.
  • In some cases, a technician may use a glue pulling system to remove dents from the outside of the panel.
  • Cost-effective: PDR is typically less expensive than traditional body repair methods.
  • Faster: PDR can often be completed in a few hours, while traditional repairs can take days or even weeks.
  • Preserves the original paint: PDR does not require the vehicle to be repainted, which helps to maintain its value.
  • PDR is not always possible. If the dent is too large or the metal is stretched, PDR may not be an option.
  • PDR requires specialized tools and training.
